Palm Coast, FL – Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty” Henry Sams Worrell, 91, and formerly of Wagener, SC entered into rest Wednesday December 23, 2015.
Mrs. Worrell was married to the late Dr. Robert Lancaster Worrell, Sr. for 46 years. She was a graduate of the Columbia Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Worrell was a Registered Nurse and worked beside her husband in the Wagener Medical Center for many years. Mrs. Worrell was born in Lake City, SC to the late Richard Henry Sams and Elizabeth Ginn Sams Maner.
Mrs. Worrell is survived by her children, Robert “Bobby” Lancaster (Jackie) Worrell, Jr. of Piedmont, SC, Elizabeth “Beth” W. (Robert) Cantu of Palm Coast, FL, and Frank James “Jim” (Leslie) Worrell, II of Wagener, SC., grandchildren; Christopher James Worrell, Robert Lancaster Worrell, III., Virginia Elizabeth Worrell, Connie Elizabeth Worrell and Robert Richard Cantu and sister, Laura Sams Bella of Jacksonville, FL.
Memorials may be made to Haven Hospice, 211-B N. Amelia, Deland, FL 32724.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 pm Wednesday in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The Funeral Service will be at 2 pm Wednesday also in the chapel with Rev. Jack Atkinson officiating with burial following in the Wagener Cemetery.
