Pelion - Mr. John Ernest Wood “Bubba”, 58, went to his heavenly home Saturday May 16, 2015.
John was born in Aiken County the son of the late Earline Rushton and Ernest Dan Wood. John was the loving husband for forty years to Diane Smith Wood; loving father of Jonathan (Tina) Wood of Pelion, Johnny Daniel “J.D.” Wood of Gaston, Jeremy A. Wood of Pelion and Janica “Jan” Myers of Leesville; loving grandfather of, the late Jonathan Matthew Wood, Heather Ann Houser-Dutton, Ernest Tyler Wood, Justin Taylor Wood, Rhett Robert Wood, Brittany Ann Wood, Johnny Daniel Wood, Jr., and Sierra Paige Wood, Jasmine Marie Crockett, Ashtin Joann Cabral, and Annabel Lee Myers, loving brother of; Tina (Ernie) Gibbons of West Columbia, Marlene (Mike) Brown, and Lounette (Kenneth) Chew of Wagener, and Uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main Street South, Wagener. The Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Clinton United Methodist Church, 333 Hollow Creek Road, Salley with the Reverends Grayson “Butch” Blackwell, Johnny Baker and Fred Gray officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
