Pelion – Mrs. Lois Elaine Jeffcoat Williams, 90, entered into rest Friday, January 17, 2014.
Mrs. Lois was the wife of the late Sampson Lanier Williams for 52 years until his passing in 1998. She is survived by her children Donnie Williams, Brenda W. Smith, and Susan W. Crider (Steve Beason), grandchildren Hamp (Rhonda) Redmond, III, Donnie (Dolores) Williams, Jr., James C. (Melissa) Redmond, Beth Williams, and Allison (Devin Hall) Crider, great grandchildren J. C. Redmond, Bryce Redmond, Blaine Redmond and Delilah Williams, and many children she cared for and helped raise whom she loved as her own, and sister Margie Rawls.
Mrs. Lois was born in Lexington County the daughter of the late Nedham Price and Alice Magnolia Williamson Jeffcoat. She was also preceded in death by siblings Percy Jeffcoat, Virginia Williams and Edner Hutt.
Mrs. Lois was a member of King Grove Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and choir member for many years.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 3:00 pm Monday at the King Grove Baptist Church with the Reverends Ellis “Cook” Addy and Earl Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Allen Williams, Michael Williams, Jeff Williams, David Williams, Jesse Jeffcoat, Hamp Redmond, Jr., Howard Curtis and Ben Crider.
