Wagener - Mrs. Maxine Grace Williamson Whalen, 83, entered into rest Friday, February 2, 2007.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law James Edward "Eddie"Gunter, Sr. and Kathie of Pelion, grandchildren James Edward "Jay" Gunter, Jr. and Monique Painter of Pelion and Brandy Denise Hester of Hephzibah, GA, Great Grandchildren Mykiah Rayne Gunter, Ceara D. Hester and Edwin Hester, sisters Earline Keisler of Swansea, Margaret Roland of Pelion, Dorothy Davis of Gaston and Lila Mae Williamson of Wagener, brothers Theron Williamson of High Point, N.C., and Lilton Williamson of Trinity, N.C..
Visitation for Mrs. Whalen will be Sunday from 6 to 9 pm. in the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main St. South, Wagener, SC (803) 564-5333. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, February 5th at 4 p.m. also in the chapel with Rev. Harold Chavis officiating.
Mrs. Whalen was born in Aiken County to the late Clifton and Ola Mae Williams Williamson. She was the widow of Arthur Whalen and also predeceased by her brother Calvin Williamson and sister Leola Amick.
