Wagener – Mr. Thomas Bennett West, 92, went to be with his Lord Sunday November 18, 2012.
Mr. West is survived by his wife, Elestine Reynolds West, daughter and son-in-law; Harriette W. and Larry Bowling of Aiken, grandchildren; Jeff Smith, Glynda S. Gracey, Jason Smith, Angie Jacobs, Janet Shirah, Larry Bowling, Jr. and John Bowling, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, sisters Catherine Davis and Jeanette (Ron) Raymond, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. West was born in Aiken County, the son of the late Otis Percy and Nellie Catherine Whetstone West. He was predeceased by his son; Carol Wayne West, brothers; M.P., Percy, Edwin, Bernard and LeCroy West. Mr. West was a U. S. Army veteran of WWII and a member of the Wagener VFW.
A Memorial Service will be at 6:30 pm Tuesday in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home of Wagener. Visitation will follow the service.
The family would like to thank their friends for their loyal support over the past few years and especially the staff of UPAC of Aiken for their care during his stay.
