Batesburg – Mrs. Carrie Lou Baughman West, 90, went to her heavenly home Sunday, May 24, 2015.
Mrs. West was the widow of LeCroy West; the mother of Oliver B. (Linda) West, Sr. and Deborah W. (Bob) Strachan; grandmother Oliver B. West, Jr., Amanda West, Adam (Candice) West all of Batesburg, and Erin Reece of Aiken, Austin Cory (Taylor) West of Saluda; great grandmother of Emily, Tyler, Bradyn, Peyton, and Preston West, Aiyana “Rosie” and Bayla VanKoevering all of Batesburg, Connor and Logan West of Saluda; sister of Annie Redd and the late Nezzie Belle Hall, Alma Wood, Clarence Baughman, Theodore Baughman, Ullysses Baughman and Grady Baughman.
Mrs. West was born in Aiken County, the daughter of the late Robert Marion and Maggie Alma Goldman Baughman. She was a member of Merritt’s Bridge Christian Church.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home of Wagener. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. in the Merritt’s Bridge Christian Church with the burial in the church cemetery.
