Pelion – Ms. Shirley Ann Carney Turner, 69, entered into rest Tuesday, April 1, 2014.
Ms. Turner was the loving mother of Carlton Alan Turner of Pelion, Angela Gail Turner of Anchorage, AK, Michael Sean Turner of Chattanooga, TN, She was the loving Grandmother of Morgan Turner, Landon Turner, Cierra Turner and Riley Turner, She was the loving sister of Diane Lucas and husband Oneal of Pelion, the late Ralph Allen Carney, Wendell Barry Carney of Columbia, and Teresa Renee May of Beech Island, she was the loving companion of Will and loving aunt of nieces and nephews.
Shirley was the daughter of the late Jessie Laurine Haney Casnettie and Floyd Carney. She attended Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Shirley was the Executive Assistant for Turnbull Bakeries.
The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Parrish Hall of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 168 Main Street Pelion, with her Funeral Service to follow at 3:00 pm in the Church with the Reverend Seastrunk officiating. Burial will follow in the Pelion Oaklawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Thomas Floyd Carney, Jesse Aaron May, Bradford Carney, Jerry Carney, Scott Lucas, and Oneal Lucas.
