WAGENER – Mr. Julius Carlisle “J.C.” Tindal Jr., 80, went to be with the Lord, Monday, August 18, 2014.
Mr. J.C. was born in Orangeburg County, son of the late Julius Carlisle Sr. and Annie Ruth Livingston Tindal.
Mr. J.C. was a beloved husband, father, and Pop. He was the husband for 60 years to the late Carrie Ruth Carver Tindal, father of Julia (Don) Walker of West Columbia and Greg (Lisa) Tindal of Aiken; Pop of Jason (Michelle) Jones, Justin (Mandy) Disbrow, Traylor (Hannah) Disbrow, Josh (Jessie) Tindal, Heather (Benji) Strickland, Austin Strickland, Jennifer Dorn, and Nick (Michelle) Walker, Great Grandfather of Haley and Aubrey Jones, Thomas and Michael Disbrow, Chloe Luna Disbrow, Isabella and Savannah Dorn, Sophia Walker, and Konner Altman, brother of Jean (the late Sam) Bentley, Edith Baker, Joanne (Butch) Jeffcoat, Nelson (Shirley) Tindal, Oneal (Linda) Tindal, Tony Tindal, and the late Sidney Tindal.
Mr. J.C. was a member of Bethcar Baptist Church, where he served as deacon. He retired from Graniteville Company. Mr. J.C. was a veteran in the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main St., South. The Funeral Service will be Thursday at 5 p.m. at Bethcar Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Addy officiating. He will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors. Active pallbearers will be Jason Jones, Justin Disbrow, Joshua Tindal, Austin Strickland, Chris Tindal and Marion Atkins. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the VFW Post 6304.
It is well. Peace that passeth understanding and grace for all our moments. We will miss Dad, Pop. Sweetest man we know. What a blessing to all. It is well.
