WAGENER – Mrs. Carrie Ruth Carver Tindal, 78, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 26, 2014.
Mrs. Tindal was born in Aiken County, the daughter of the late George Clyde and Beatrice Rushton Carver. She was also preceded in death by her brother Henry Carver.
Carrie was a beloved wife, mother, and Memama. She was the wife of 60 years to Julius C. “JC” Tindal Jr , mother of Julia (Don) Walker of West Columbia and Greg (Lisa) Tindal of Aiken; Memama of Jason (Michelle) Jones, Justin (Mandy) Disbrow, Traylor (Hannah) Disbrow, Jennifer Dorn, Nick (Michelle) Walker, Josh (Jessie) Tindal, Heather (Benji) Strickland, Austin Strickland, Great Memama of Thomas and Michael Disbrow, Haley and Aubrey Jones, Isabella and Savannah Dorn, Sophia Walker, and Baby Disbrow; sister of , Laurine Vance, Ed (Frances) Carver, and Shelby (Kenneth) Smith, all of Wagener.
Mrs. Tindal was a member of Bethcar Baptist Church, where she served as financial secretary for 34 years. Long time employee of Wagener Manufacturing and worked at Haven of Rest Christian Bookstore.
She was the symbol of God’s love and grace and exhibited that to all of her family, friends and community. We love you and we will all miss you, Mama & Memama.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main St., South. The Funeral Service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Bethcar Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Addy officiating. She will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
