Michael Alan Tames, 41, entered into eternal rest Monday, March 31, 2014.
Michael’s visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Blizzard Funeral Home, 153 Main Street, South Wagener, SC 29164 and Sunday April 6 at 12:00 pm with a Service to follow at 1:00 pm at the Pelion Community Center, Pelion, SC. Michael will be laid to rest Sunday, April 6, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209.
Michael was born on February 21, 1973 in Jacksonville, Florida. Michael lived in old bridge New Jersey until he made his home in Pelion SC with his family 6 years ago.
Michael was the husband of Melissa Suswal Tames and the father of Nicholas “Nicky” Benjamin Tames and the soon to be baby Tames. He was the son of late Joyce Schumer and Sherwin Tames of Columbia. He was the loving son-n-law of Denise Safker. Michael was the brother- brother-n-law to Jason Scott Tames and Samantha of Landrum, Joseph Francis and Lisa Safker of North Charleston, and Melody Bruno and husband Hamid Whaid of Greenville. Michael was a beloved uncle to 5 beautiful nieces and three amazing nephews.
Michael’s son and his family was his life. He loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews. Michael was the life of the party, he was easy going, and would do anything for anybody. He had a “goofy” personality. Michael will be loved and missed by all.
