Wagener – Donnie Ray Swartz, Sr., 59, entered into rest Friday, September 26.
Donnie was the father of Donnie R. (Sheila) Swartz, Jr. of Aiken, Josh Swartz and Kelsie Swartz (Daddy’s little girl) both of Batesburg, and the late Bruce Swartz and Jennie Enlow; Grandfather of Cody Swartz, Justin Swartz, Dalton Swartz, Blake Enlow, Brandon Enlow, Alanea Enlow and the late Nikki Swartz. Donnie was the brother of Millina Wood and Gloria (Jesse) Glover all of Denmark and Linda (Roger) Bolen of Leesville. He was the son of the late Millard Swartz and Susie Heath. His best friends were Kellie Prescott, Harold Ray Heath and Tommy Quarles.
Donnie was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the U. S. Marine Corps.
Visitation is Monday from 6 to 8 pm in the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home (803) 564-5333, 163 Main Street South. The Memorial Service will be Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Bethcar Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Addy officiating.
