Shirley Kelly Jeffcoat Sturkie

Wagener – A Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Shirley Eleanor Kelly Jeffcoat Sturkie, 79, will be held at 1 pm Saturday, March 19, 2016 in the King Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Addy officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and family from 7 to 9 pm Friday in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main Street South, Wagener, SC 29164.
Mrs. Shirley was the wife of W. W. “Dick” Sturkie of Wagener, loving mother of Dennis A. Jeffcoat, Sr. (Susan) of Gaston, Douglas K. Jeffcoat (Brenda) of Lexington, Robert L. “Buck” Jeffcoat (Mary Vincent) of Pelion and the late Randy Keith “Jiggs” Jeffcoat, grandmother of 5, great grandmother of 13, brother Paul E. Kelly (Sarah), and step mother of Betty Nimmons (Sam) of Columbia, Peggy Mann (Charles) of Chapin, Donald Sturkie (Judy) of Wagener and Ronald Sturkie (Brenda) of Salley.
Mrs. Shirley was born in Spartanburg County, the daughter of the late Walter Lee Kelly and the late Pearlie Mae Pearson Kelly Matthews. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Robert A. “Jiggs” Jeffcoat. Mrs. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a devoted and active member of Bethcar Baptist Church.
