Wagener – Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ellen Potter Stroud, 64, of Wagener will be held at 6 PM Sunday, December 1, 2013, at the First Baptist Church of Wagener. The family will receive friends in the sanctuary of the church at 5 PM. The Reverend Philip K. Turner will conduct the funeral.
Mary went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 28, 2013. Born in Conway, SC, she was the daughter of the late Collie Calvin Thomas, Clifford Edward Potter, Sr. and Annie Ree Chestnut Thomas Potter.
Mary is survived by her husband James Walter Stroud, Jr. sons; Jimmy Stroud and James W. Stroud, III; grandchildren; Ashton Stroud, Megan Stroud, Ethan Stroud, and Gemma Potter, brothers and sisters; Edward (Grace) Potter, Carl (Mia) Potter, Cathy Harris, Jenny (Dave) Compton, Clifford E. Potter, Jr., and a host of nephews and nieces.
