Pelion - Mrs. Lettie Kneece Stone, 79, entered into rest Tuesday, August 16, 2011.
Mrs. Stone is survived her son; Gerald W. Stone and his wife Linda of West Columbia, grandchildren; Michael Stone, Bryant (Mandy) Stone, Eddie “James” (Robin) Stone, Laurie Lawhorn, and Larry Marine, great grandchildren; Robbie, Jaycee, Walker, Wyatt, Quaide, Mariah, Ashlei, Maddisson, Britney and Hunter, sister; Blanche Stone of Pelion, numerous nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Stone was the widow of Willie Drew “Jack” Stone who passed July 17, 2011. Mrs. Lettie and Mr. Jack had been lovingly and faithfully married for 60 years. She was born in Pelion, the daughter of the late Ethan Rudolph and Myrtle Marie Sharpe Kneece. She was also predeceased by her brother; Asbury Kneece.
Mrs. Stone was a member of Florence Baptist Church. She formerly worked for; R. L. Bryan Printing Co., Pelion Mfg., and Swansea Mfg. before retiring from AAFES (Army/Air Force Exchange Service).
Visitation will be Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main St. South, Wagener, SC. A Graveside Service will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Pelion Oaklawn Cemetery with the Revs. Dr. Tim Driggers and Grover Williams officiating.
