New Holland - Mr. Stephen S. Stoltzfus, 73, entered into rest Thursday, Aug. 20th, 2009. He was a faithful husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Stoltzfus is survived by his wife of 52 years: Edna Musser Stoltzfus; children: Clair, married to Thelma Hoover of East Earl, PA; Carolyn, married to Michael Biggs of Greenwood, DE; and Cheryl, married to Larry Landis of Honey Brook, PA; eight grandchildren; brothers: Ervan Stoltzfus of Lancaster, PA; Jacob Stoltzfus of Lititz, PA; and Aaron K. Stoltzfus, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO. Mr. Stoltzfus was predeceased by his parents, Aaron K. and Katie S. Stoltzfus, and his sister: Suzanna Stoltzfus.
Mr. Stoltzfus was a cabinetmaker for 40 years and spent his retirement in SC as a volunteer prison chaplain under the Carolina Chaplaincy Program. He attended the New Holland Mennonite Church in New Holland, SC and was a member of the Rockville Mennonite Church in Honey Brook, PA where he was a trustee for many years.
The Calling will be 6 to 8:30 pm Friday and from 9:00 – 10:00 am Saturday at the New Holland Mennonite Church. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 10:00 am, also at the church. Viewings in Pennsylvania will be Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:30 pm and Wednesday at 9:00 am at Conestoga Mennonite Church in Morgantown, PA. The Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Wednesday with burial following in the church cemetery. The family requests that contributions be made to the Carolina Chaplaincy Program, 2131 Old 96 Indian Trail Rd, Batesburg, SC 29006.
