Robert was born August 17, 1956 in Rock Hill, SC to Stella Beatrice Canity Stokes and the late Joseph Coland Stokes, Sr.
Robert is the husband of Ola Johnston Stokes, father of Robert Less Stokes, Jr., Timothy Scott Stokes, and Kevin Ray Stokes, grandfather of 3, step grandfather of 15, brother of; Kenneth Ray (Redia) Stokes, Billy Joe Stokes, Daniel Leroy Stokes, Glenn Edward (Faye) Stokes, Sr., Sandra Kay (George Bland) Black, and the late Barry Dean Stokes, Joseph Coland Stokes, Jr. and William Lonnie Stokes. He was the nephew of Joyce Ann (Mitchell Smith) Watkins. His best friends were Marty, Penny and A. J.
A Service to celebrate the life of Robert will be held at 4 pm Sunday, December 13th at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Pastor Glenn E. Stokes, Jr. officiating.
