Wagener – Mrs. Virginia Davis Hoover Still, 76, entered into rest Saturday, May 17, 2014.
Mrs. Davis was born in Orangeburg County, daughter of the late Archie Clifton and Estelle Williams Davis. She was also preceded in death by first husband Wilbur Hoover, an infant brother and brother Jack Davis. Mrs. Still was a member of Rocky Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Still is survived by her husband of 38 years Gross Lee “Jim” Still, children Johnny Glenn Hoover of Duncan, William Elias Still of Bamberg and Joyce Ann (John) Lyons of Elloree, grandchildren Sierra Caitlin Hoover of Bluefield, WV, Ashley Nicole Hoover of Woodruff, William Elias (Pam) Still, Jr., Justin (Amanda) Still, Lilla (Jeremiah) Bearden and Rebecca Still of Bamberg, Jamie (Amanda) Wisher, Miranda Blume, Chuck Lott, Jr., Kristopher Blume, Jesse Blume, Michael Lyons, Bradley Lyons, Kolt Blume and Duane Lott of Elloree, great grandchildren William Elias Still, III, Tyler Still, Amber Still, Kevin Still, Justin Still, Jr., Halley Still and Clyde Bearden, sisters Iva Mae Jeffcoat, Eloise Martin, of Wagener, and Patsy (Claxton “Sam”) Stevenson of Springfield, brother Archie C. (Jackie) Davis, Jr. of Salley, sisters-in-law Gertrude Still and Mammie Lee Sanders of Hilda and Juanita Zizzett of Olar, brothers-in-law Alvin (Jeanette) Still of Hilda, and Bobby (Sarah) Still of Morriston, FL, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Rocky Grove Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. also at Rocky Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend John O’Cain officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
