Wagener – Mrs. Laura Lee Atkinson Steadman, 44, entered into rest, Monday, August 1, 2016.
Laura was the loving wife of Richard Eugene “Gene” Steadman for 27 years. They were married Jan. 7, 1989 at Seivern Baptist Church. She was the loving mother of Tiffany (Daniel Cox) Steadman and Gregory Steadman. She was the loving grandmother of Ethan Paul Cox and Charleigh Mae Steadman-Cox. Laura was the loving daughter of Carolyn Wood Atkinson and the late Earl Atkinson, Jr. and daughter-in-law of Louise Steadman and the late Paul Steadman, Sr. She was the loving sister of Linda (Bill) Moore, half sister of Paul Atkinson, and sister-in-law of Paul (Phyllis) Steadman, Jr., Gloria (Bob) Blanton, and Gary Steadman. She was the Aunt of Randall Ingram, Hayley Ingram, Brandy Corder, Chris Bumgardner, Brett Steadman, Allison (David) Brunson, Nick (April) Blanton, Breanna Blanton, Jason (Rachel) Steadman, and the late Bradley Corder. Laura was the great Aunt of Cameron Steadman, Will Blanton, Sydney Blanton, Landen Phillips and McKenzie Steadman.
Laura was a member of Seivern Baptist Church. She was employed by Pactiv, Inc.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The Funeral Service will be Thursday at 11 am in Seivern Baptist Church with the Revs. Geoff Mason and George Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nick Blanton, Mike Branch, Gary Steadman, Jason Steadman, Terry Taylor and Billy Wood. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Fulmer, Bill Gantt, Bill Moore and Chris Taylor.
