WAGENER – Mr. Norman Henry Smith, 86, entered into rest Sunday, Feb. 14th.
Mr. Smith was married to the late Josephine Hall Smith for fifty-nine years. He was the father of Alton (Pam) Smith of Aiken and Kenneth (Shelby) Smith of Wagener, grandfather of; Jeffrey (Melissa) Smith, Glynda Gracey, Kim (Cliff) Ashley, Doug (Shannon) Smith, Jason Smith, and Sabrena (Geoff) Rawls, great grandfather; Brandon Smith, Justin Smith, Macy Smith, Michael Lanier, River Gracey, Brett Smith, Aimee Brinson, D. J. Smith, Caleb Ashley, LeAnn Rawls, and Dylan Rawls, and brother of Lois Whitley of Lexington, Donald Smith of Pelion, and the late Ada Anderson, Doris Rayfield, O. D. Smith, Roston Smith, and Bobby Smith.
Mr. Smith was born in Aiken County, the son of the late Otis Drayton and Idora Lucas Smith. He retired from Graniteville Company where he worked in the Dyeing Department in the Gregg Finishing Plant. Mr. Smith enjoyed gardening and working in his yard, especially with his flowers.
Visitation for Mr. Smith will be Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main St. South, Wagener, SC (803) 564-5333. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Wagener with the Reverends David Robinson and Chris Addy officiating. Burial will follow in the Wagener Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Smith, Jason Smith, Doug Smith, Sammy Smith, Doug Busbee, Mike Gleaton and Ed Carver. The family ask that memorials be made to the Wagener Garden Club at P.O.
