WAGENER – Mr. Bobby L. Smith, 80, entered into rest Saturday, May 12th.
Mr. Smith is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 64 years Ludie Jane Jeffcoat Smith, son Sam Smith, special family member James Garrison, sister Lois Whittle, and brothers Norman Smith and Donald Smith.
Mr. Smith was born in Lexington County, the son of the late Otis Drayton and Idora Lucas Smith. He was also predeceased by sisters Ada Anderson and Doris Mayfield, and brothers O. D. Smith and Roston Smith. He was a member of Wagener United Methodist Church and retired from Graniteville Company after 48 years of service in maintenance.
A Wake for Mr. Smith will be Sunday, May 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Blizzard Funeral Home, 153 Main St. South, Wagener, SC (803) 564-5333. The Funeral Service will be Monday, May 14th at 11:00 a.m. in the Wagener United Methodist Church with the Reverend Kristen Richardson-Frick officiating with Pastor Jimmy Jones assisting. Mr. Smith will be placed in the church an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Wagener Cemetery. The family ask that no flowers be sent, but acts of love be demonstrated with memorials being made to Wagener United Methodist Church Building Fund at P.O. Box 265 Wagener, S. C. 29164.
