Steven Lyfatte Shumpert, Jr.

Pelion – Steven L. Shumpert, Jr. (42) of 420 Mulberry Street, Pelion, SC passed away Saturday, January 19 at his home. Born December 6, 1970, he was the son of Steven L. Shumpert, Sr. and Delores Fox Shumpert. He attended Pelion High School and graduated with honors from Spartanburg Technical College. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Pelion, SC
He is survived by his parents; a daughter, Amanda Shumpert; a son, Steven “Stevie” L. Shumpert, III,: a granddaughter, Payton Anderson; a sister, Terry S Bailey (Billy); a nephew, Brent Bailey; and a niece, Vicki Bailey.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Pelion, SC conducted by the Rev. Charles Seastrunk. Burial will take place in Oaklawn Cemetery in Pelion following the service. Family will receive friends at the parish building at Holy Trinity immediately following burial.
