Leesville– Mr. Paul Lensey Shumpert, 74, went to be with the Lord, Monday, December 8, 2014.
Mr. Paul is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Mary Ellen Kyzer Shumpert; children, Susan R. Shumpert, Janie S. (Eddie) Ward of Lexington, Paul Steven (Tina) Shumpert of DeRidder, LA, Paula (Dennis) Massey and Elton (Stephanie) Simoni; grandchildren, Renee (James) Cizek, Brandi (Brandon) Gardner, Eddie Ward, Jr., Brittany Kyzer, Bank Sittapong, Michael Shumpert, Brian (Angela) Shuman, Andrew (Ashlyn) Massey, Amanda Massey, Mariella Simoni and Sebastian Simoni; great grandchildren, Adelynn Cizek, Hunter Gardner, Colton Shuman, Payton Busbee, Wyatt Massey, and Bentley Massey; and sister Clara Lee Shumpert Jeffcoat.
Mr. Paul was born in Lexington County, son of the late Vasco and Lucy Gunter Shumpert. He was brother of the late Joan S. Rushton, Dock Shumpert and Buck Shumpert. Mr. Paul was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Visitation for Mr. Paul will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, Wagener. The Funeral Service will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Reverends Bud Moss, Travis Crumpton and Willie Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family requests no flowers please. Memorials be made to the Pine Grove Baptist Church Building Fund at 236 Pine Grove Road, Leesville, SC 29070
