Pelion — Mrs. Melanie Braziel Shumpert, 46, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday, June 9, 2012.
Melanie is survived by her loving husband of twenty-four years, Jimmy Ray Shumpert, children; Justin Ray Shumpert and Rayma Michelle Shumpert, mother Vanda Claire Cooper, brother Richard (Annie) Braziel, sister and brother-in-law Linda (Wayne) Mack, Stepmother Gwen Craft, Step Sister Michelle Wayne, mother-in-law Mavis Shumpert, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews.
Melanie was predeceased in death by her father David Eugene Braziel. She was born in Columbia, SC and was a member of Convent Baptist Church.
Visitation with the family will be at the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, Tuesday from 6 – 8 pm. The Funeral Service will be 1 pm Wednesday at Convent Baptist Church with the Rev Dr. Tim Driggers officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
