PERRY - Mrs. Ketura “Kay” Rodgers Sharpe, 89, entered into rest November 28, 2013.
Mrs. Kay is survived by her sons; Jim B. ( Diane) Sharpe, Jr., and Rodger Sharpe of Salley, grandchildren; Christopher (Amanda) Sharpe, Hillery (Brandon) Rucker, Holly (Tyran) Coleman, and Hope Sharpe, great grandchildren; Kaden Sharpe, Karolina Sharpe, Kyla Elizabeth Coleman, ;and Tyran King Coleman, sister Gertrude Jones of Batesburg and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kay was born in Aiken County, the daughter of the late Hilary H. and Maggie E. Rodgers. She was also preceded in death by her husband; James Barney “Jay” Sharpe, Sr., and brother; Silas Rodgers. Mrs. Kay was a member of Perry Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1:30 to 2:30 pm in the Perry Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will be Sunday at 2:30 pm also in the Church. The Reverends James Whaley and John O’Cain are officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Courtney Senior Center & Services, Meal Services at 49 Roy Street, Wagener, SC 29164.
