Lexington – Mr. Edison “Ed” Sharpe, 75, entered into heaven with a brand new set of eyes on Saturday, June 25, 2016.
Ed was the father of Beth (Greg) Garvy of Lexington, John (Shannon) Sharpe of Conway, and Carl Sharpe of Gilbert. He was the grandfather of: Greg Garvy, Nikki Garvy, Danielle Garvy, Johnathon Sharpe, McKenzie Sharpe, Brittany Sharpe and Brook Sharpe and the great grandfather of Aeris Carver. Ed was the brother of Carl “Bunk” Sharpe of Prosperity, Gloria (Pat Allan) Hutto of Wagener, Elaine Spell of Summerville, Joyce King of Swansea, Billy Sharpe of Salley, Paul Ray (Becky) Sharpe of Salley, Linda Quezada of Wagener and the late Kathryn Headden, Lannie Sharpe and Helen Williams. He was the son of the late Rudolph Carl and Mary Cornelia Starnes Sharpe. Ed is also survived by many nieces and nephews and Sandra Dugan of Lexington.
Ed was a veteran of the S. C. National Guard and the U. S. Army Reserve.
Visitation is from 6 to 7 pm Tuesday in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. The Service to celebrate Ed’s life is Tuesday evening at 7 pm also in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home.
