Leesville – Mr. Woodroe Dewey Seigler, 91, entered into rest Sunday January 23, 2011.
Mr. Seigler was born in Aiken County, the son of the late Everett H. and Ethel Melissa Gantt Seigler. He was the widower of Anne Carter Seigler, and also predeceased by siblings; Marie S. Posey, Lottie S. Thomas, Roxie S. Montgomery, James P. Seigler, and Winnie S. Corbett.
Mr. Seigler was a member of Hulon Baptist Church. He was a past member of the Baptist Church in Mobile, AL and New Holland Baptist Church. Mr. Seigler was always very active in the church he attended. He was a member of the CCC, a WWII veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corps having served for three and a half years during the Asiatic Pacific campaigns. He retired from Civil Service having worked in Mobile, AL, Eglin AFB and other locations.
Mr. Seigler is survived by a number of nieces and nephews and their families.
The Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the New Holland Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
