Eunice Scalf

WAGENER – Mrs. Eunice Heath Martin Scalf, 87, entered into rest Thursday, October 8, 2009.

Mrs. Scalf is survived by her sons: Ted S. (Helen) Martin of Wagener, and Don A. (Geneva) Martin of Columbia; grandchildren: Caroline Renate (Kyle) Martin Belanger of South Hadley, Mass., and Leslie Dawn Martin of Wagener; great-grandchildren: Addison Compton, and the late Violet October Martin Belanger, sister Louise (James) Mattox of Lexington, and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Scalf was born May 2nd, 1922 in Aiken County. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Eula Brown Heath. She was also preceded in death by siblings: Louie Heath, Leon Heath, Nerine Heath and Clifton Heath. Mrs. Scalf was a member of Bethcar Baptist Church, where she served cleaning the church for more than 20 years. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The Funeral Service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Bethcar Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Addy officiating. Visitation with the family will begin at 1 to 3 pm also in the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Eula Heath Fidelis Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers, and the Men’s Sunday School Class will serve as active pallbearers.
