Fairview- Mr. Thornwell Rish, 82, entered into rest Sunday, December 26, 2010.
Mr. Rish is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Betty Derrick Rish; children: Donnie Rish of Grovetown, GA, Wanda (Terry) Fogle of Pelion, and Dennis (Jeanie) Rish of Leesville; grandchildren: Joli (Keith) Shumpert, Crystal Munn, Nickolas Fogle, Holly (Glen) Jeffcoat, Andrew Fogle and Hillary Rish, great-grandchildren; Blake Griffin, Jaidon Shumpert, Grant Shumpert, Christopher Rish and Cameron Johnson, and sisters; Emily Taylor, Marjorie Padgett, Agnes (Robert) Gunter, Irma Jean Gunter and Joyce Oswald.
Mr. Rish was born in Lexington County to the late Morris Arthur and Myrtle Kennedy Oliver Rish. He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. He was a member of Convent Baptist Church and a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 2 pm at Convent Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Convent Baptist Church, 787 Convent Church Rd, Leesville, SC 29070.
