Fairview - Mrs. Betty Derrick Rish, 81, entered into rest Friday, June 22, 2012.
Mrs. Rish is survived by her children; Donnie Rish of Grovetown, GA, Wanda (Terry) Fogle of Pelion and Dennis (Jeanie) Rish of Leesville, grandchildren; Joli (Keith) Shumpert, Crystal Munn, Nickolas Fogle, Holly (Glen) Jeffcoat, Andrew Fogle and Hillary Rish, great-grandchildren; Blake Griffin, Jaidon Shumpert, Grant Shumpert, Christopher Rish and Cameron Johnson and sister Vanara D. Rish.
The family expersses their grateful appreciation to their very own angel and Mrs. Betty's caregiver, Dolly Keisler.
Mrs. Rish was born in Lexington County to the late Clayborn Jacob and Mertie Lucas Derrick. She was married to the late Thornwell Rish for sixty years prior to his death in 2010. She was also preceded in death by her brother Aubrey Derrick. She was a member of Convent Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 pm at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Monday at 11 am at Convent Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andy Boan, Jeffery Padgett, Marion Rish, Brent Shumpert, David Shumpert and Ronald Zook.
