Neeses – Kevin Edward Rentz, 25, began resting at the bare feet of Jesus, Tuesday, August 25, 2015.
Edward was the son of Kevin and Vonda Kaye Ayer Rentz, the grandson of Carl & Hilda Ayer all of Neeses and Mary Rentz & the late Leonard Odell Rentz of Lexington. He was the nephew of Tim & Deborah Ayer, Bruce (uncle/grandfather) & Clara Rentz, Frances & David Hoogenboom and Miriam & Larry Taylor. Edward was the cousin of the late Josh Ayer, Andy & Ashley Ayer, Mitch Ayer, Tamara Ayer, Travis & Jennifer Henzler, Justin & Kate Henzler, Kim & Freddie Phillips and Nora & Earl Ricard, and great cousin of James, Christopher, Ashlyn, Karson, Leyton, Lauren, Dylan, Hunter and Blaine. Edward’s chosen brother was Mickey Lambert. The love of his life was Chelsea Lillian Rose for nearly eight years.
Edward was a member of Grace Baptist Church, West Columbia. He was a 2008 graduate of Pelion High School and a graduate of The USC Culinary Institute. Edward was employed by Rite Temp Heating and Air as a commercial duct installer. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He loved working on his Chevy C-10. Edward lived life to the fullest grabbing it by the bull horns – shoes were always optional. Edward will forever be his Da and Momma’s Baby Bear.
Visitation will be Friday, August 28th from 6 to 8 pm at Blizzard Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Service will be at 2 pm Saturday at Rocky Grove Baptist Church, 332 Rocky Grove Rd, Salley, SC. The Reverend John O’Cain will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The pallbearers will be Andy Ayer, Mitch Ayer, Ashley Craft, Mickey Lambert, Justin Henzler and Dylan Phillips.
