Wagener – Mr. Wilbur Windell Rawls, 66, entered into rest Friday, July 6, 2007.
Mr. Rawls is survived by his daughter Wendy and Wesley Yon of Wagener, grandchildren Heather and Matthew Yon, Father A. B. “Skeet” Rawls, special friend Peggy Brazier, sisters Barbara Jackson, Linda Couillard and Sharon Wilson, brothers Andy and Olivia Rawls, and A. B. “Ronnie” Rawls, Jr..
Mr. Rawls was the son of Arthur Ballenger “Skeet” Rawls, Sr. and the late Marion Elizabeth Corbett Rawls and the widower of the late Helen Carolyn Poole Rawls. Mr. Rawls was a member of First Baptist Church of Wagener and a member of Grand Cedar Lodge 184 of Wagener. He was a Vietnam veteran having served in the U. S. Army. He was a retired Insurance Agent with American General and Liberty National.
The Funeral Service will be Monday, at 5:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Wagener with the Revs. Scott Griffith and Dave Robinson officiating. Active Pallbearers will be Scott Brazier, Willie Cannon, Ray Drayer, Johnny Harrison, Ronnie Rish and Wesley Yon. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Grand Cedar Lodge 184 of Wagener, Billy and Margie Colvin, and nurses from CCU & PCU of Palmetto Health Richland. Burial will be in the Wagener Cemetery with Military Honors and Masonic Rites. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main St., South, Wagener, SC 29164. The family extends their grateful appreciation to Dr. Martin, Dr. Owens, Brandon Foster, the nurses and staff in CCU and PCU at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital.
