Wagener – Mr. John Timothy Rabon, 57, entered into rest Sunday, Oct 7th.
Mr. Rabon, who loved his family very much, is survived by his wife of 37 years Linda Sue Rish Rabon, children; Tammy and Robbie Ivester of Ninety-Six, Teresa and Carl Rushton, and Jonathan and Amanda Rabon all of Wagener, and Tina and Jonathan Wood of Pelion, grandchildren; A. Nichole Gordon, John H. Rushton, Samantha E. Rushton, Heather A. Hooker, Alan Y. Ivester, Jessica M. Rabon, Jonathan W. Rabon, Jr., E. Tyler Wood, Justin T. Wood and Rhett R. Wood, brothers; Joseph “Joe” Leon Rabon, Jr. and Roy Rabon of Gaston, Bruce Leon Rabon of Swansea, and Otis Hall Rabon and Glenn Allen Rabon of Cayce, sisters; Lois R. Boltin of Cayce and Irene R. Flippen of Big Sandy, TN. He is predeceased by his parents Nellie Lois Hoover Rabon and Joseph Leon Rabon, Sr., sister Barbara R. Walker, brothers Eugene Rabon and Stanley Rabon and grandchild Jonathan L. Wood, Jr..
Mr. Rabon was born in Columbia and was a member of Seivern Baptist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 9th from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main St. South, Wagener, S.C. (803) 564-5333.
The Funeral service will be 4:00 pm Wednesday in the Seivern Baptist Church with the Revs. Milford Oswald and Eileen Gunnells officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation at 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509 New York, NY 10018.
