Edward Stephen "Steve" Powers

Barnwell – Edward Stephen “Steve” Powers, 63, entered into rest Wednesday January 23, 2013.
Steve is survived by his wife of 15 years; Kathy K. Powers of SC, children; David E. (Jodi) Powers of SC, Richard S. (Melanie) Powers of Germany, Craig A. (Latoya) Powers of Ohio, Kimberly E. Powers of Ohio, Benjahman M. (Jody) Stafford and Betsy Bragg both of SC, 18 grandchildren, brother; Sam (Rita) Powers of SC and sister Sharon Berry of Ohio, Aunts; Lucy Hale, Beulah Addington and Rita Powers, Uncles; Ballard Powers and Johnny Powers all of Virginia, and many nieces and nephews.
Steve was the son of the late Charles Edward and Cynthia Ellen Lundy Powers and was also preceded in death by his sister; Geanneane Powers.
Steve was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force where he served as a medic. His love after his Lord and family was driving trucks which he did for 33 years. He last drove for USF Holland where he retired.
Family and friends who wish to celebrate Steve’s life with the family may join them at 2 pm Saturday at the Roy Warner Park Community Center, Wagener, SC or at the home of his sister Sharon in Mansfield, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Blizzard Funeral Home, P. O. Box 235, Wagener, SC 29164 to assist the Powers family with expenses.
