Salley – Mr. Walter “Little Boy” Raleigh Poole, 85, entered into rest Monday, October 22, 2012.
Mr. “Little Boy” was the son of the late George Swinton and Lula Starnes Poole. He was preceded in death by his wife Vivian Poole and siblings; Raymond Poole, Velma Poole and Riley Poole. Mr. “Little Boy” was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a mason of Dean Swamp Lodge #172.
Mr. “Little Boy” is survived by several nieces; Ellen (Bobby) Farr, Jennie (Sammy) Hydrick, Marie (David) Malatesta, and Libby (Don) Callahan, nephew; James Ray (Rhonda) Poole, many great and great great nephews and nieces, his pal “Little Dog”, and special neighbors Bruce (Carla) Lucas.
Visitation for Mr. “Little Boy” will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm. in the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main St. South, Wagener, SC. The Funeral Service will be at 3 pm Thursday in the Clinton United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery with Military Honors and Masonic Rites.
