Salley - Mrs. Rachel Cooper Poole, 83, entered into rest Sunday, August 9, 2015 surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Poole was born in Aiken County, the daughter of the late Raymond and Annie Lula Cooper. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years Martin C. “M.C.” Poole, Sr. in October of 2007. She was also predeceased by her siblings: J. R. Cooper, Mary Ellen Jeffcoat, Otis Cooper, Myra Poole and Katie Ruth Hamilton. Mrs. Poole was a member of Clinton United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Poole is survived by her children; Martin C. “Jr.” and Linda Poole of Franklin, NC, Rachel “Nell” and Phil Rosbach of Aiken, and Jane and Anthony Wiles of Salley, grandchildren: Elizabeth Miller, Martin C. Poole, III and Holly, Alan Poole and April, Jamie Poole, Sr. and Lori, Philip Poole, Sr. and Buffie, Rachel Wiles and Jay Butler, and Daniel Wiles and Morgan Leach, great grandchildren: Johnathan Poole, Jordan Poole, Melinda Miller, Savannah Poole, Jamie Poole, Jr., Philip Poole, Jr. and Derek Poole, and sister Lula Bell Senn.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Blizzard Funeral Home Chapel, 163 Main St. South, Wagener, SC and other times at the Wiles home, 57 Altees Corbett Rd., Salley, SC.
The Graveside Service will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the Clinton United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Grayson Blackwell officiating. The Pallbearers will be Mrs. Poole’s grandchildren.
