Pelion - Mrs. Freddie Gardner Poole, 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday November 23, 2012 which was her son Roy’s birthday.
Mrs. Poole is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law; Charles and Linda Poole, Dewey and Carolyn Poole and Richard and Luanne Poole, grandchildren; Mitchell (Kellye) Poole, Shelley (David) Laird, Jason (Leigh Anne) Poole, Wesley (Jennifer) Poole, Henry (Victoria) Poole, Joey (Shasta) Poole, Lisa (Trey) Wren, Benjamin (Kelly) Poole and David (Kristalyn) Poole, great grandchildren; Zachary Poole, Hollis Poole, Johnnie Huckabee, Brian Laird, Samantha Poole, Ava Poole, Paige Poole, Avery Poole, Faron Poole, Katelyn Wren, Jenna Wren, Nate Poole, McKenna Poole, Jackson Poole, Will Poole and Josie Poole.
Mrs. Poole was born in Lexington County. She was the daughter of the late Timothy Landy and Tressie Fogle Gardner and also preceded in death by her husband; Leon Baker “Monk” Poole, son Roy Poole and his wife Brenda, and siblings; L. W. Gardner, Robert Gardner, Frances Shealy, Lucille Schindler and Annie Gardner. She was a member of Pelion United Methodist Church.
Visitation for Mrs. Poole will be from 6 to 8 pm Saturday in the Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 3 pm Sunday at Pelion United Methodist Church with the Revs. Patricia Mayfield and David Day officiating. Mrs. Poole will be placed in the church an hour prior to the service for viewing. Pallbearers will be Henry Poole, Joey Poole, Ben Poole, Jason Poole, David Poole and Wesley Poole. Interment will be in the Pelion Oaklawn Cemetery.
