Wagener – Mrs. Bobbie Evelyn Derrick Nunn, 80, entered into rest Tuesday, January 8, 2013.
Mrs. Nunn was the mother of; Deborah N. Ryals and her husband, the late Robert D. Ryals of Mt. Pleasant, and Johnny E. “Buddy” Nunn and his wife Scarlett of Wagener, grandmother of; Linda and Paul Smith, Diane and Glenn Lewis, Anthony and Vangee Nunn, Austin and Zayna Nunn and Alleigh Nunn, great grandmother of; the late David Smith, Collin Smith, Ryanne Smith, Jordyn Lewis, McKenzie Lewis, Kailynne Lewis, Shane Lewis, Piper Lewis, Brenna Nunn, Josh Nunn, and Gaige Nunn. Mrs. Nunn was the daughter of the late David Irvin Derrick and Sue Cook Derrick Durrough. She was the widow of Jonnnie H. Nunn, and sister of Jimmy I. Derrick and his wife Lois of New Ellenton, and the late Vera D. Boatwright. Mrs. Nunn and was a member of Perry Baptist Church and had been attending New Holland Baptist Church where she grew up and was a member before getting married. Mrs. Nunn and her husband owned and operated Perry Auto Service from the mid 60’s to the early 70’s. She then worked in the office at Salley Manufacturing until her retirement.
The Funeral Service will be Friday, January 11th at 3 p.m. in the Perry Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Owen McAlister officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the March of Dimes in honor of Mrs. Nunn’s great grandson David at 240 Stoneridge Dr., Suite 206, Columbia, SC 29210.
Visitation is Thursday from 6 to 8 pm in the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home (803) 564-5333, 163 Main Street South.
