Anna Evelyn Swartz Morgan

WAGENER - Mrs. Anna Evelyn Swartz Morgan, 85, entered into rest Wednesday, April 4, 2007.
Mrs. Morgan is survived by her children Jack and Sandy Morgan of Chapin, sister and brother-in-law Lillian and Kirby Bickley of Columbia and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Morgan was born in Aiken County, the daughter of the late Julius Backman and Hattie Ables Swartz. She was the widow of Homer Jack Morgan, Jr., and also predeceased by sisters Rudy Lee S. Mitchum, Bertie Mae S. Quattlebaum, Maxine S. Carter and Kathleen Swartz, and brothers Paul Swartz and Carlton “Buddy” Swartz. She was a member of Bethcar Baptist Church and retired from Richland Memorial Hospital as an R.N. and head nurse. Mrs. Morgan lived her life as a loving and understanding wife, mother, caregiver and friend to many. She will be missed.
The Funeral Service will be Friday, April 6th at 4:00 p.m. in the Bethcar Baptist Church with the Reverend Chris Addy officiating. Visitation will be begin at 3:00 p.m. in the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Bethcar Baptist Church, P. O. Box 546, Wagener, S.C. 29164. The family of Mrs. Morgan expresses special thanks to all the caregivers and visitors who comforted her during her battle with Alzheimer’s: Agape, Agape Carolina Community Hospice, Lowman Home, Lutheran Hospice and especially Dr. Rosilee Browning.
