Wagener – Mrs. Virginia “Shah” Bundrick Miller, 83, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Palmetto Health Baptist.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her sons; O’Neal “Buzz” Harry (Lucille) Miller and Michael Miller, grandchildren; Loring Miller, Robert Miller, Kelly and Steve Ostrovsky, and great-grandchild Kyra Johnson Ostrovsky.
Mrs. Miller was born in Columbia, SC on August 2, 1929, and was the daughter of the late Jacob Harry and Emmie Louise Bundrick. She was also preceded in death by her son Steven McGrady Miller and sister Billie Bundrick Caughman.
Mrs. Miller graduated from Lower Richland High School, and the University of South Carolina. She was the owner and operator of Miller’s Flower Shop in Wagener from 1949 - 2002. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, travel, her dogs and most of all - her grandchildren and great-grandchild. Mrs. Miller received many awards throughout the southeast for her floral design and demos. She was a member of First Baptist Church-Wagener.
Mrs. Miller took much pleasure in visits to her home from her European friends of the Kingdom of The Netherlands. Likewise, she described as the “time of her life”, her visits with the families Wolters and Roetgerink in the city of Enter. She was especially thankful to Mr. Eric and Belinda Wolters, of Delden for accepting her into their home with overwhelming kindness and hospitality during her visit to Holland. She very much loved and appreciated her “Dutch Family”.
Mevrouw Miller nam veel plezier in bezoeken aan haar huis van haar Europese vrienden van het Koninkrijk der Nederland. Ook zij omschreven als de "tijd van haar leven ', haar bezoekt met de families Wolters en Roetgerink in de stad op Enter. Ze was vooral dankbaar aan de heer Eric en Belinda Wolters, van Delden voor het accepteren van haar in hun huis met overweldigende vriendelijkheid en gastvrijheid tijdens haar bezoek aan Nederland. Ze zeer geliefd en gewaardeerd haar "Nederlandse Familie".
Visitation with the family will be Friday from 6 to 8 pm at Blizzard Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Saturday at 4 p.m. in the First Baptist Church Wagener with the Rev. Philip Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the Wagener Cemetery.
