Pelion – Mrs. Doris June Atkins Miklosky, 79, died peacefully in her sleep at home Wednesday morning.
Mrs. Miklosky is survived by her children Michael E. Miklosky of Lexington, Nicholas “Nick” and Janet Miklosky, II of Pelion, Annette Miklosky of Lexington, and Tayae M. Cooley, of Leesville, Grandchildren Jill Marie Miklosky, Nicholas Miklosky, and Anna Marie Cooley, great granddaughter Abigail Madeline Gardner. She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Miklosky and parents Elijah and Jeanette “Nettie” Clark Atkins.
Mrs. Miklosky was born in Van, West Virginia. She served in the U. S. Army as a nurse from 1947 – 1950. She retired from Crystal Linen Service as a bookkeeper.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main St. South, Wagener, S.C. (803) 564-5333. Graveside service will be Friday 12:00 pm in Pelion Oaklawn Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Atkins and Rev. Bill Padgett officiating.
