Springfield – Mr. Stanley “Stan” Paul Lowell, 77, departed his earthly life to be with the Lord in his heavenly home, Thursday, April 16, 2015.
Born on October 22, 1937 in Ferndale, Michigan to his parents, Dean Wright and Elvah Beulah Hall Lowell.
Stan graduated from Birmingham High in 1957 then he went on to attend; Bob Jones University, Moody Bible Institute and Detroit Bible College.
On June 24, 1961 Stan married Judith “Judy” Ann Bingham Lowell, they celebrated 53 years of marriage before his death.
In 1962 Stan and Judy welcomed their daughter Cynthia to their family, in 1965 their son Daniel Paul, and in 1970 Ann Marie.
Stan enjoyed his work as a custodian for Camp Springs Christian School in Maryland and Upper Bucks Christian School in Pennsylvania.
He was a member of Rocky Grove Baptist Church.
He is is preceded in death by his parents, Dean Wright and Elvah Beulah Hall Lowell, his brother Earl Lowell and sister Bette Gilbert.
Stan is survived by his wife, Judy Lowell, children: Cynthia Robinson and her husband David of New Castle, PA, Daniel Paul Lowell and his wife Teresa of Statesboro, GA, Ann Marie Marden and her husband Lee of Rossville, GA., Grandchildren: Casey and Rose Robinson, Corey and Amy Robinson, James O’Brien Lowell, Amanda and Jeremiah Ives, Benjamin Lowell, Megan Lowell, Jessica and Drew Marden Sprayberry and Justin Marden, Great Grandchildren; Grant Lowell, Kenslee Lowell, Jamison Ives and Addison Ives, brothers Dean Lowell Jr., Herb and Pat Lowell and Robert Lowell.
Visitation will be Monday, April 20, 2015 at Rocky Grove Baptist Church from 3 to 4 pm. Funeral service will follow at 4 pm also in the church sanctuary. The Revs. John O’Cain, David Robinson, and Mayhew West will officiate.
Pallbearers will be: Dan Lowell, Jim O’Brien Lowell, Casey Robinson, Corey Robinson, Jeremiah Ives and Drew Sprayberry.
