SALLEY – Mrs. Hazel Bailey Lilly, 76, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday. Mrs. Lilly was the widow of James S. Lilly and daughter of the late Levi and Minerva “Gassie” Hutto Bailey.
She was the sister of Bence Bailey and Valmarie Goff of Salley, and Roy Bailey of Buena Vista, PA, the late Levi “L.B.” Bailey, Melmer Bailey, Louise Sheppard, Nora Bailey, and Wayne Bailey. She had many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Lilly was a member of Berlin Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Berlin Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian Thomason officiating. She will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service for viewing. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family expresses their gratitude to the doctors and staff of Palmetto Health Richland, especially Dr. Scott Petit, Jr. and Dr. Charles Petit for the exceptional care they provided Mrs. Lilly. They would also like to thank the Senior Adult Sunday School Class and members of Berlin Baptist Church for their love and support.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Berlin Baptist Church Building Fund at P. O. Box 190 Wagener, SC 29164.
