Aiken, SC - Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Hoover Kulp, 93, went home to be with Jesus Thursday, December 20th.
Mrs. Kulp is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law William L. Kulp, Jr. and Allan R. and Roberta J. Kulp of Aiken. Mrs. Kulp was one of twelve children with one surviving brother, Joseph Edward Hoover of Claymont,
Delaware. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren, 10 great
grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Kulp was born in Pine Grove Mills, PA, the daughter the late James Franklin and Orpha Dora Brooks Hoover . She was a devoted mother and housewife. Mrs. Kulp was a member of Atonement United Methodist Church in Claymont, DE where she loved to serve so much that her life emphasis and social involvement centered around her church family until
moving to Aiken in 2000 where she became a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials are made to Atonement United Methodist Church, 3519 Philadelphia Pike in Claymont, DE, 19703. A private burial will be at the Lawn Croft Cemetery in Linwood, PA beside her devoted husband, William L. Kulp, Sr. A Memorial Service will be held at Atonement United Methodist Church, Friday at 11:00am.
