WAGENER - Mr. Gary S. “Big Pop” Kennedy, 74, died Friday, April 13, 2007.
Mr. Kennedy is survived by his wife of 42 years Peggy Joyce Theus Kennedy, children Donna K. Marston, Rosemary “Peanut” (Galen) Kinney, Beverly Kennedy, Gary Dwayne Kennedy, Jeff Dwayne (Christina) Kennedy and Marshall W. “Randy” (Donna) Maddox, III, mother Thelma Warner, 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, half-sister Pamela Murray and adopted sister Patsy Barnes.
Mr. Kennedy was the owner and operator of the Wagener Drive Inn. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 15, from 5 to 7 pm in Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main St. South, Wagener with a Memorial Service at 7 pm following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be to St. Jude Children Hospital (Memorial and Honor Program) at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
