Gaston – Mrs. Juanita “Nita” Tersa Rowell Jumper, 75, entered into rest Wednesday, January 21, 2009.
Mrs. Jumper was the widow of David Hale Fairchild and Maxey LaRue Jumper. She owned Nita’s Cleaning Service for 25 years.
Mrs. Jumper, affectionately known as “Gaggie”, is survived by her children; Gail (Stan) Sharpe of Swansea, Linda Greggory of Mount Vernon, KY, Tony (Wanda) Fairchild of Monticello, KY, Debbie (Rod) Butler of Gaston, Mariann (Melvin) Harsey of West Columbia, and Cathy McIver of Lexington, 13 grandcildren, 4 step grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, sisters Louise Torelli of Mah Wah, NJ and Mary Shivers of Columbia. She was born in Escambia Co., AL, the daughter of the late George Oscar and Cora Mae Hopkins Rowell. She was also predeceased by a brother, Winston Rowell, and sisters, Ethel Long and Marlene Rogers.
Visitation will be held Friday from 7 to 9 pm in the Clay Hill Family Worship Center, 1050 Clay Hill Rd., Pelion, SC 29123. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. also in the Clay Hill Worship Center. Burial will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Clay Hill Family Worship Center, P.O. Box 283, Wagener, SC 29164. Blizzard Funeral Home is assisting the family.
