Wagener – Mr. Leonard J. H. Jackson, 63, entered into rest Saturday October 4.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife of 43 years, Virginia Carver Jackson; children Tony (Lisa Wingard) Jackson, Deirdre J.(Pete) Allen and Jody Jackson all of Wagener and Vickie Lynn (Robbie Seigler) Jackson of Aiken; grandchildren Brittany Jackson, Casey A. Jackson, Chelsea Jackson, Justin Allen, Kaitlyn Allen, Lauren Allen, Shelby Jackson and Miranda Rawls; and sisters Mary Carver of Wagener, Gerri Mills and Shirley Hinton both of Aiken. Mr. Jackson was the son of the late Woodrow Jackson and Cleo Jackson Ashmore. He was also predeceased by his brother Leroy Jackson.
Mr. Jackson was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, at 4 p.m. in the New Holland Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Virgil Parsons officiating. Mr. Jackson will be placed in the church an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors. The Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm at the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main St. South, Wagener, S.C. (803) 564-5333.
