Wagener – Mr. Chan Lawayne Jackson Sr., 67, entered into rest on Monday, April 14, 2014.
A lifelong resident of Wagener, Mr. Jackson was born on September 24, 1946 to the late John D (JD) and Annie Luila (Jackie) Cooper Jackson of Wagener, SC. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Allen Jackson.
He is survived by his long-time love of 47 years, Patricia Bodie Jackson, a loving daughter and son-in-law, Wendy J and Edmund (Eddie) L. Kennedy of Wagener, SC; a devoted son, Chan (Clay) L. Jackson Jr. of Atlanta, GA; and a very special granddaughter, Jaclyne Daniele Fulmer of Wagener, SC. Also left to cherish his memory is a brother and sister-in-law, Darryl Gene Sr. and Candy Jackson of Wagener, SC; sister-in-law, Linda Taylor Jackson; nephews, Jimmy Dewayne Jackson, Jimmy (Butch) Allen Jackson Jr. and his wife, Barbie Jackson, Johnny Ray Jackson, Christopher Gene Shivers, Darryl Gene (DJ) Jackson, Jr., all of Wagener, SC; a grandnephew, Ethan Shivers; many cousins, and a host of caring, close friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM in the Blizzard Funeral Home Chapel, 153 Main Street South, Wagener, SC with a Memorial Service on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Wagener Cemetery. Casual attire is acceptable.
