Wagener - Mr. George Edward Hydrick, 70, entered into rest Tuesday, May 29, 2012.
Mr. Hydrick is survived by his wife of sixteen years; Susie Averitt Hydrick, daughter; Crystal Hydrick Huber of Leesville, step daughter; Stephanie Lea Sheeks of Lincoln, NE, grandchildren; Brandon Hydrick, Brittany Hydrick, Bambie Smith, Tabatha Craven, Brenden Sheridan and Jaden Elizabeth Sheeks, sister; Nancy Capling of Deerfield, FL and brother; Donald (Shelby) Hydrick of Leesville.
Mr. Hydrick was born in Columbia, SC on November 23, 1941, the son of the late Clifton and Margaret Lucille Price Hydrick. He was also preceded in death by his daughter; Janice Lucille Smith, son Jamie Lee Hydrick, and brother; Gene Hydrick.
Mr. Hydrick was a Vietnam veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was a member of Batesburg - Leesville Masonic Lodge # 138 and also a Shriner. Mr. Hydrick loved music, especially country music. He was a D. J. and announcer for WBLR and WCOS radio. He hosted and played in a band at the Ridge Jamboree. He also thoroughly enjoyed NASCAR.
Visitation will be in the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral from 6 to 7 pm on Thursday with a Memorial Service immediately following the visitation.
