Grovetown, GA – Mr. Gerald Lee Hutto, Sr., 69, entered into rest Saturday, Sept. 15th.
Mr. Hutto is survived by his wife Ann Glover Hutto, children; Gerald L. Hutto, Jr., Willie F. (Missy) Hutto, and Iva J. (Doyle) Pinion, step children; Bonnie Glover, Samantha Shelton, Beth Todd, George Shelton, Thomas R. (Melodie) Sharpe and Shirley D. Spires, 8 grandchildren, 2 step great great grandchildren, sisters; Elsie Lucas and Jean (Archie) Gartman, brother Victor “Pete” L. Hutto and nephew Donnie Yon. He is predeceased by his parents Earl Melvin and Gladys Neomi Lucas Hutto, and sister Genieve Cooper.
Mr. Hutto was born in Lexington County. He was previously a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. Mr. Hutto was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U. S. Army and a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U. S. Marines. He also served in the U. S. Air Force.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 19th from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main St. South, Wagener, S.C. (803) 564-5333.
The Funeral service will be Thursday, September 20th at 2:00 pm also in the Chapel with the Rev. Frank Thigpen officiating. Burial will be in the Salley Oak View Cemetery with military honors. Memorials may be made to the Grove First Baptist Church Building Fund at P. O. Box 236 Grovetown, GA 30813.
