Wagener – Mildred Todd Hunnicutt, 86, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, December 13, 2014.
Mrs. Hunnicutt was married to the late Rev. James Charlie Hunnicutt for sixty-two years prior to his death in March of 2008. She was a dedicated pastor’s wife for over 60 years, serving in many churches in various capacities. She was a loving mother of eight children, James Ronald Hunnicutt of Summerville, Roger (Bonnie) Hunnicutt, Carolyn (Tim) Buchner, Stanley (Dell) Hunnicutt, Susan (Brad) Gentry, all of Wagener, Benny (Gale) Hunnicutt of Gilbert, Brenda (Keith) Hutchenson of Lincoln University, PA, and Cathie (James) Miller of Ward, 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-granddaughter. She is also survived by one brother, Lamar (Carol) Todd of Sandy Springs, and three sisters, Frances Woody and Margaret Whitman of LaFrance, and Rachel (Ken) Nelson of Pendleton.
Visitation will be Monday, December 15th from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main St. South, Wagener, SC. The family will also receive friends and family Tuesday, December 16th from 1 to 2 pm at Perry First Assembly of God Fellowship Hall. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2 pm in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Victor Smith, and Rev. Virgil Parsons will officiate. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Stan Hunnicutt, Brandon Gentry, Dwight Hutchenson, Buddy Miller, Jamey Hunnicutt, Caleb Miller and Joseph Miller.
